Mobile Drone Station – HoverHome
Drones have distance, flight time and operational limitations due to battery life, maximum remote control range and line of sight restrictions. If the home station is in a static location, operators must ensure that drones stay within remote control range or line of sight and that each drone has sufficient power to get home safely.
Autonomous all-terrain mobile surveillance, security, border patrol or search and rescue operations?
Mobile Drone Station - HoverHome is a mobile all terrain automated battery swap station, that not only allows for operation in remote areas but when a drones battery gets low, our robotic station can land the drone, swap the battery with a freshly charged one, and relaunch the drone to resume its mission. All with or without a pilot or crew on-board.
HoverHome - Mobile Drone Station is expanding the capabilities of commercial drones, by allowing for launching and landing on water, amphibious or hard to reach terrain. Enabling near-continuous flights with minimal down time, this mobile automated battery swap station also ensures data is collected when and where it is needed in a data-driven world.
The Ultimate All-Terrain Surveillance Solution
Hov Pod HoverHome overcomes drone integrated perimeter management limitations and extends the range associated with any operation that utilizes a tethered drone and/or multiple drones operating autonomously. HoverHome - Mobile Drone Station vastly improves the mission capabilities of drones in search or surveillance applications and removes of the current restrictions making the entire operation mobile and scalable.
HoverHome - Mobile Drone Station provides a mobile perimeter management solution with continuous operation 24/7. A tactical amphibious or all-terrain, surface-to-air monitoring solution capable of covering a wider surveillance area or changing perimeter coordinates, deterring insurgents or drug and migrant traffickers, even in remote areas.
In the scenario below a group smugglers have stranded migrants on one off the islands in this area. The mission is find the migrants before the huge storm hits in 5 days.
The operation was launched from a land base, there are 2 HoverHome and 6 drones with infrared and night vision cameras performing a continuous search and rescue mission moving over one 10 square mile area of ocean and islands at a time. 2 more tethered drones could be easily added to the operation. Hov Pod SPX hovercraft can be integrated into the operation for all-terrain surface response, in multifaceted or tactical operations and each smaller SPX hovercraft could be deployed with cameras, GPS, echo sounder, weapons while tethered to a drone. Our integrated drones have flight times up to 120 minutes and the entire operation could be autonomous.
How HoverHome Works
Key Features – Mobile Drone Station
HoverHome - Mobile Drone Station
In the video the HoverHome - Drone Battery Swap & Recharge Station launches the drone calls it back, lands the drone on the landing platform, robotically removes the battery and places on the charger inside the station. The station then grabs a fresh battery places it carefully into the the drone battery slot and launches the drone. All in under two minutes.
Traditional observational surveillance methods are typically limited by the stationary nature of the camera, which is usually handled manually or fixed upon a tripod or other structure. Aerial surveillance can be performed using a helicopter; whilst this achieves the desired result, it is also very costly.
Unmanned aircraft systems provide the ideal solution to the problems and limitations faced by other surveillance methods. Drone surveillance presents an easier, faster, and cheaper method of data collection, and a number of other key advantages. Drone planes can enter narrow and confined spaces, produce minimal noise, and can be equipped with night vision cameras and thermal sensors, allowing them to provide imagery that the human eye is unable to detect.
